For the 29th year in Orlando, Florida, One Magical Weekend is the premier destination event for LGBT+ vacationers worldwide. Celebrating love, kindness, and acceptance, this weekend draws in more than 150,000 guests to Central Florida and the Walt Disney World® Resort.
One Magical Weekend remains true to its roots – always enjoyed the first weekend in June, and for 2019, they wanted to expand their reach with an all-new approach and fresh take on their brand.
One Magical Weekend 2019 will be the largest in the event’s history, and with that, an all-new responsive website was needed.
Designed & developed with a mobile-first approach, the new OneMagicalWeekend.com is a brightly-colored showcase of all of the amazing events, DJs and Sponsors of the 2019 weekend.
It was important create an easy-to-navigate, clutter-free environment which allowed guests to experience all that OMW has to offer, while being able to easily purchase event tickets and book their stay at the OMW host hotel – The Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort.
Mobile-first promotional videos to generate interest.
Leading up to the weekend, short videos were created to generate interest and promote all that One Magical Weekend has to offer – these were blasted across social media and sent out via their large email database of LGBT+ travelers.
Custom on-brand event signage throughout the resort.
Guests of the Sheraton were greeted by onsite event signage showcasing the weekend’s festivities, as well as other weekend-specific advertising.
A branded social strategy.
The primary platform that One Magical Weekend uses to generate event awareness and drive sales is Facebook – where the majority of their customers are. For 2019, an all-new branded look was launched to promote individual daily pool parties, afterhour events and main event attractions at the House of Blues Orlando and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark
